The quick-christmas-table for friends

I love a good looking table, but I don’t always like spending money on all the Pinterest worthy ideas I see during the festive season. This table hardly requires any advance planning and is perfect for the last minute braai with friends. Simply walk to your Christmas tree, remove a few ball balls and some decorations. Take some scissors and head out into your garden. Cut various lengths of greenery, layering works really well so look for different textures.

This look works well on a bare table which I love as I hate fold creases in table cloths and I am not going to be found near the ironing board when I could rather be sipping cocktails in the pool.

Place the foliage in the centre of the table, overlapping different leaves and then scatter some decorations randomly. I also normally have a collection of Christmas crackers left over from the year before so if I have some, I placed it diagonally across the plate. Next, replenish your drink and sit back and relax while waiting for your fiends to arrive.
